As the CEO of High Country Fuels, Mark J. According to the latest American Trucking Trends report published by the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the US trucking industry is worth $700 billion, exceeding the total gross domestic product of some nations. ATA said that 10.8 billion tons or 70.2 percent of all of the freight tonnage in the country were moved by trucks in 2017.

The trucking industry also produced nearly 130 million full-time jobs, employing 5.8 percent of the American population. Based on records from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual income of truckers in 2018 was $43,680.

Recently, ATA released a freight transportation forecast indicating that the total freight tonnage in the United States will reach 20.6 billion and generate a revenue of $1.601 trillion in 2030.

Golf Tourney Raises Funds for Veterans and the Utah National Guard

Beaver, Utah, resident Mark J. Yardley serves as the CEO of High Country Fuels, where he oversees filling stations, 24-hour convenience stores, and cabin rentals. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mark J. Yardley hosts annual charity golf tournaments to raise funds for veterans and the Utah National Guard.

Mr. Yardley sponsored the 2018 Eagle’s Landing Veterans Charity Golf Tournament at the Oasis Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada, and attracted 21 foursomes to participate in the event. Altogether, the tournament raised more than $16,000, which was distributed to the Utah National Guard and the Southern Utah Veterans Home.

Since 1894, the Utah National Guard has committed to training and preparing military forces to protect citizens in times of war or emergency. The Utah National Guard comprises two military branches, theUtah Army National Guard and the Utah Air National Guard.

The Southern Utah Veterans Home provides long-term care, rehabilitation services, and personalized treatment plans to veterans and their spouses. Its facility in Ivins, Utah, is equipped with 24-hour nursing care and luxury spa services to meet the needs of its patients.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Mark J. Yardley is a respected presence in Beaver, Utah, and a former mayor of the city. Committed to offering the best products and services to customers, Mark J. Yardley owns and manages Eagle’s Landing Travel Plaza, which has several locations in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona.

In 2018, Mr. Yardley opened Eagle’s Landing Travel Plaza at Exit 118 in Mesquite, Nevada. Several residents of the community, including Mesquite Mayor Al Litman, attended the opening. Eagle’s Landing Travel Plaza has 16 gas pumps for cars, eight diesel lanes for trucks, and five gas pumps for RVs.

In addition to the fueling stations, the plaza houses two restaurants, a tire shop, a liquor store, and a 24-hour convenience store to accommodate visitors traveling in and out of the city.

Children’s Advocacy Centers Deliver Justice and Healing

Beaver, Utah-based entrepreneur Mark J. Yardley directs operations at High Country Land Management as owner and president. Among other interests, the firm owns and operates a network of filling stations and convenience stores in and beyond the state, with locations branded as Eagles Landing Scipio Chevron, Eagles Landing Beaver, and High Country Chevron. Mark J. Yardley’s success in business allows him to support a number of local philanthropic efforts, including the Beaver County Children’s Justice Center.

The center works to support the wellbeing of children who are victims of abuse, and to help them strengthen their lives as survivors. The center recently became a satellite member of the National Children’s Alliance, a network focused on amplifying the efforts of similar children’s advocacy organizations throughout the country.

The National Children’s Alliance and the Beaver County Children’s Justice Center recently shared a powerful video called Stand Up Step Forward, which encourages adults to be aware of the numerous challenges faced by the victims of childhood abuse, and to provide resources and support to those whose bravery brings their abusers to justice in court.

The alliance and its member advocacy centers work to hold abusers accountable for their actions, and to speak up on behalf of young survivors in their quest for justice. Additionally, they facilitate the survivors’ access to medical treatment, mental health services, and victim advocacy services.

To date, these children’s advocacy centers have assisted more than a quarter of a million youth.
